We’ve seen the headlines. Over and over there have been studies published recently about holiday stress and the cost of creating a magical holiday. The very last thing I would ever want is to hear that the holidays are anything less than beautiful for you, so today I’m going to talk about five easy, quick ways you can continue to practice self-care this season.
As coffee lovers, there’s something we always have in our kitchen every single day: used coffee grounds. If you’ve been tossing them in the garbage every day or use some for compost, but don’t know what to do with the rest, I have a whole heap of ideas for recycling those grounds today from beauty products to garden maintenance.
Why do I think that's important? Because I have two strong beliefs related to my coffee break:
- That first smell of coffee brewing is one of the best parts of the day and brings an immediate calming breath to me. Then it would fade and the stress of the day would kick right in.
- When someone talks about "self-care", I used to swear I "don't have time for that" and laugh it off. But at the same time, I was stressed and complaining all I did was take care of others all. the. time.
